In the last few weeks we have seen each of the networks announce changes to the EMV certification process that will help streamline what has been an arduous process for all involved. This was followed closely by enhancements to improve checkout time for EMV transactions at the POS, referred to by some as as “Quick Chip”. In addition, there has now been an effort to offer chargeback relief to merchants. Has this poorly executed rollout of EMV finally generated a mea culpa from the networks?
